Wateen and Motorola to Expand WiMAX Network in Pakistan
Motorola retains exclusive supplier status for world's largest 802.16e WiMAX network


Karachi: October 30, 2008 - Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT) has signed a contract with Wateen to expand Wateen's WiMAX network, enhancing coverage and doubling the capacity of the network which covers a population of 30 million across 22 cities in Pakistan. Wateen's customers will benefit from improved access to wireless broadband service.

Wateen's WiMAX service, launched in 2007, brings customers price and quality benefits through innovative services such as voice calling and WiMAX for residential customers and enterprise-level services which include Data VPN, high speed Internet access, VoIP, conferencing and find me/follow me applications for business customers. By expanding the network, Wateen will extend its service to more subscribers, and continue its dedication and commitment to serving Pakistan with an enriched experience.

Rural Pakistanis Benefit from Remote Telemedicine System

The burdened healthcare infrastructure limits treatment of ailing Pakistanis living in rural areas. This is now changing with the implementation of a high-technology, remote telemedicine system.

Motorola Mobilizes its Employees to Volunteer in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi on Global Day of Service
Employees in 43 countries participate in over 300 projects with a focus on environmental sustainability


Karachi: October 15, 2008 - More than 100 Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) employees will volunteer in the Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi areas today during the company's third annual global community service program. This year's Global Day of Service, themed "Green & Global" will engage nearly 10,000 Motorola employees in 42 countries and emphasize the company's commitment to environmental sustainability.

Motorola employees will take a half day off work to support more than 300 projects that address a variety of community concerns, including education, environmental sustainability and social services. To highlight the importance of environmental stewardship, this year, many Motorola employees will be teaching an environmental curriculum in classrooms across the globe. Additionally, the Motorola Foundation will arrange to have a non-profit organization plant a tree for every Motorola employee volunteer. Motorola to Deploy WiMAX Network in Pakistan for wi-tribe

Karachi: October 6, 2008 - Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) today announced that it has signed a multi-year WiMAX contract with wi-tribe Pakistan limited, the all-new wireless broadband Internet provider to enter the country.

Motorola will supply infrastructure and a comprehensive services package that will enable cost-effective, compelling wireless broadband services for wi-tribe's customers.

wi-tribe Pakistan Limited is a joint venture between Qatar Telecom (Qtel) and Saudi Arabia's A.A. Turki Group of Companies (ATCO). wi-tribe aims to deliver instant wireless broadband connectivity from North Africa across the Middle East and up to Asia (AMESA region).

"WiMAX is changing the way people are connecting and is opening doors to a new world of opportunities," said Mohammad Sadiq, CEO of wi-tribe Pakistan limited.
